There are really no difference whether it's a man or a woman moving to Finland after "love" ... I've seen both cases.
My ex was British too and he came often to Helsinki and really loved it over here.
I travelled to UK 6 times in 2006 and I loved (and still do) UK lots.
We were in LDR (long distance relationship) for about 1,5 years.
Even after the break up we are friends and talk now & then.
I was supposed to move to UK, but it was too complicated in the end ...
"Funny" thing is - I have never dated a Finnish guy in my life! Seriously!
And I've lived here all my life! LOL
It's not been my choice to do so. Things have just happened ... LOL
Anyway - good luck to everyone with their loved ones
