Hi Peni!

This is such a small country that I'm afraid there's not much room for real competition. The big ones like DHL, TNT, UPS, DPD seem to have taken over the business and the few small ones, well I think they are more or less struggling or at least finding it hard. In the Helsinki-Espoo-Vantaa area one good business though is the "couriers on bikes - Fillarilähetit" but I don't think there's much demand for service like that in the smaller towns.

Post is trying to polish its image, it's called Itella nowadays and they are trying to compete with parcel deliveries by pricing, delivery times and many Finnish companies have contracts with them for delivering, e.g. pieces of furniture which ppl have bought. Many companies seem to be outsourcing their deliveries and don't want to invest in their own vans or lorries any more.
