Some two months ago I praised my Sony DSC-W90 here and didn't plan on upgrading it. I still think it's a great camera and I still have it.
Now I just happened to pass a shop at the airport and couldn't

refuse the special price they had for Sony DSC-W170. I took a few minutes to read the specs and just had to buy it. It has this "new" feature which automatically captures smiles ie. when you use that mode, all you need to do is hold the camera, keep it pointed at people and as soon as someone smiles, the camera takes the pictures automatically!

No more keeping people waiting and trying to keep smiling while you point and shoot.
This is a bit like a candid camera - it captures the most natural smiles and all you need to do is hold the thing. Yes, we had lots of fun afterwards when I showed the pics and the others realised what I had been doing... or what the camera did without anybody noticing it
