Today we went to Tammisaari, those small swedish islands (well they belong to Finland, but there they mostly speak swedish), to the Kettunen's place. They used to be the neighbours of my host family (they originally owned the house where I am staying, before selling it to my host family and built their own house next to it). We stopped at the village first, where we went to this small market place, on the sea shore and we ate some hamburger and ice cream (the waiters were giants.. they were something like 8 feet tall. or 2 meters tall). Then we headed to the Kettunen's place. Their son is a chef (a cook). and we had a looooooot of alcohol that night! haha. we visited the few other houses on the property (its a huge field with older buildings..). amd we went to the one cottage near the shore of the sea. that's where Outi and I will sleep tonight. Timo smoked some salmon, and drank thoses "zip" estonian long drinks. they were really good! They are made with cactus and lime. yum! We also had russian champagne! XD Then Outi and I headed to the sauna that Timo built. a savusauna. it was really amazing. I have always loved taking saunas. but this one was really awesome. some people might wonder wether or not its awkward to be naked with finns in sauna. Well I didn't find it awkward. being naked is part of life. you were born naked. why should you be ashamed of being naked? Finns are not there to judge your body, so don't be shy and enjoy a real finnish sauna! get undressed, shower...

Today I went to Pihlajasaari with Outi and Suvi, her older sister (24) so we could go swim by this really sunny and warm day. It was really nice, and we had a really nice time there. (On our way to Suvi's place, we saw this finnish actor called Jussi Lamppi on the street.) After the swim, Suvi came over for diner. I didn't feel too well today, I felt dizy, but i still enjoyed my time!
Anyway! we might go to Lapland for a week in mid-july, and on the 23rd, we are going to Savonlinna's opera festival, to see Rigoletto. oh, and we might go to one of my friend's band's gig in Alavus, on the 26th. (Wellu's band). but that is to be confirmed! see you!

Today, I went to the canadian ambassy just to be told that I didn't have to go to confirm I was in Finland, like their website told me to do. I was rather mad to waste my time with thoses ladies that were really arrogant and mean toward me. *sigh* why do canadians have to be so f****** rude? they almost told me literaly to get the shit out of there because I was annoying them in their oh so busy schedule (there was no one there except me). After that rude morning, Outi and I went to meet up with Henna and Paatrik (a guy she met over internet that is annoying her a bit :/) at café Java. The guy was nice, but sometimes he was being weird. haha. we stayed there for about 3 hours talking and laughing, and then we splitted up to go back home. Outi and I spoke until 3 am. haha. I'm glad we get along so well!

sorry for the lack of updates. maintenance on the site, and well I am quite busy with school too. but some more posts are coming! I promise!

Today, nothing special happened. I got up around 12h30 (wow! haven't slept that long in a long time!). I didn't wake up because of the sun going up at 4am. haha. I stayed home and read my moomin comic, taking notes of the new words I didn't knew their meaning. I went for the second time since my arrival on the computer. haha. it seems like I barely have time to go on the computer! I sent some news to my family in Montreal, and then went out to go grocery shopping with Outi. We made some rhubarb juice, and it was fun. Ilari came over around 6pm and we watched that movie that the band Lordi made, its called "Dark Floors". The story and the special effects were quite crappy, but it was still fun to watch. When he left, we cooked ourselves some good makkara! Outi told me how she met her boyfriend Pasi (she told me about him on the first day, when we went to Ursula café). Her parents don't know about him... he is 34.. :S and is from Riihimäki. They met in a bar through a friend of hers. anyway. as long as she's happy, well then I'm happy. love doesn't have an age I guess. I should know that. but you still have to make sure it's not a bad person..
I spoke with my friend Wellu from Tampere, and it was quite fun. we have spoke to each other for over 2 years, and well even though we never met, we are just good buddies. ...
