If you want to move to Helsinki, you may wondering what the cost of living in Helsinki are.

If you have to think about salaries, you may consult those sites but also consider that the more you earn the more tax you pay in Finland:

http://www.mercerhr.com/costofliving

It also depends where you want to work. In Hotel Industry you are earning about 10 EUR/hour while in basic office jobs you get around 1900-3500 EUR depending on your skills and your negotiation with the employer.

So how much does it cost to live in Helsinki. Rents & Food prices are quite high here. If you want a small flat with about 20-25m2 you need to pay around 500-600 EUR per month depending where you live in Finland.

Food prices are also quite high and if you want to eat out in a restaurant you should calculate at least 10 EUR and more (except when you go to a fast food Pizza or Kebab place).

Here is also a good site where you can find out about cost of living in Helsinki.
