At Gamla Stan (Old Town) of Ekenäs you can find wooden houses from the 18-19th centuries. The village itself was founded in 1546.

Porvoo Old Town

A highlight of every trip to Porvoo are its' red wooden houses (shore houses) in its' old town. Originally, houses have not been painted in Finland as the color was expensive but were painted for King Gustav III's of Sweden arrival.
