Thread: Traveling to Kemi / Rovaniemi by train

Hi everybody,
I want to travel Kemi from Turku in march but i wonder is the night train safe because I'll travel alone. do they have shower?
I searched for them but i couldnt find much information and i thought maybe some of you traveled by train and answer my question

o:O are ya kidding me? Nothing will happen to ya in Finland,its very safe place.Except train station in helsinki at nights tho
Some trains might have showers,you have to check VR's website.But im pretty sure that they dont have it.At least the ones i've used havent:P.Night trains are not modern.They dont have wireless net for example.
I dont think you have to use night train.Helsinki-Oulu takes 8 hours for example,it cant be different from Turku-Oulu,and from Oulu,Kemi is 2 hours away or something.Just wake up early and jump on the train:P

I'll come from Gdansk-Poland to Turku by plane and it just seems easier for me to get Rovaniemi using night train because I dont have much time.
I'll go to Rovaniemi first than way back to Kemi. All I want is to see Snow Castle in Kemi nothing more

i strongly suggest you to stay one night in Turku.If you dont,you will regret it later.
Another option is,getting to ship from gdansk to helsinki.It will take some time though:P
Imo,its best way.
