    Hi!
    Nobody seems to have answered your question by now. I'll try to help you.

    The first one is correct, "kolikko on hopeaa" - it could also be "kolikko on rautaa", if the fact is that the coin is made out of iron.
    - In the same way you could say "Auto on rautaa".

    The second sentence doesn't make sense. "Auto on nopea" makes sense, since it expresses a certain limited quality. "Auto on hopeaa" is correct, but usually not the case. "Auto on hopean värinen" describeshow the car looks like in most cases.

    "Kolikko on arvokas", "Kolikko on pyöreä" make sense in the same manner.

    hopea = silver
    nopea = fast

    Any help?

    Heippa

    Voinko mä käyttää "entä"-sana täs lausees?

    "Onni on olemassa niin kauan, kuin sitä etäältä katselet, mutta kun kokeilet lähestyä sitä, se pakenee, ENTÄS kun otat sen käsiinsi, se katoaa pois"

    Ihmiset sanoo että "entä"-sana käytetään vain kysymyslauseessa, mut mä tunnen sen sanan sopivan täs tapauksessa.

    Kiitos etukäteen

    Hi!
    Your are writing poems - and poetic language isn't always following grammatical rules.
    So - almost everything is OK there - as long it's understood correctly. So it's fine in that context - nice poem.
    - Entäs is a slighly colloquial "puhekieli" expression for entä or entäpä. Note: Käsiisi instead of käsiinsi.

    Grammatically (more) correct would be...

    "Onni on olemassa niin kauan, kuin sitä etäältä katselet. Mutta kun kokeilet lähestyä sitä, se pakenee. Jos otat sen käsiisi, se katoaa pois"
