True, in some cultures you might feel that it's awkard to spend several hours with just few words, in Finland you can sit in a sofa without talking anything and just doddle with your PC or watch TV and not saying anything, and that is really normal.

Every foreign might feel it a little sometimes. I'm a caucasian, and really white (for a portuguese, they are usually more tanned) but still when i went to a bar in Finland my girlfriend told me something like "That guy is talking madly about you to his friends, saying that you are a foreign"
But the truth is that they wont hit you or anything, they might just look you badly... AND it's almost rare to happen in the cities...
