And like Peni said, I think yes, love would be the best reason to move in a foreign country, especially if you're in love with the country itself.

We met in the USA. We are currently dating. I sooo appreciate the finnish culture! Such solid people. I think love is the best reason to move. Just trying to figure out the cultural aspects of communications!

I think if you are in love, you should go for it. we met in America and I am just trying to figure out the cultural issues associated with communication.

Sometimes Finns are reluctant to talk too much, and even more to talk about themselves. It goes somehow against the humbleness value this culture is build on. Be patient, do not press, little by little she may open... good luck

I met my husband in an online game a few years ago. I moved here a year after we started talking since the long-distance thing didn't really work for me.

i can say finnish guy not like western people usually...
i met my hubby from online website then we've been relationship for 2 years.
Long distance sometimes hard for us,but we have basic is TRUST so, on 2009, we get married and now i am moving to Finland.
I'm from Indonesia and he visited me 2 times to my country and from that i can see, he really respect me as women and he always keep word what he say, i mean his promise.
Well, i can say finnish guy different from that i ever knew about western people because i'm from asia, and they have different culture also.

I'm really happy, because what we're waiting for 2 years we can through every difficulties until we maked our vow when we were married last year.
until i move to Finland this year, so i can say ..New Year and New thing in my life
