    Thumbs up Buffet lunches

I have heard that Finland serves good buffet lunches & cheaper in the daytime.
I want to try all sorts of food...any suggestions where they serve a good buffet lunch or dinner?
    Getting hungry!!!

No, it's not a site. ABC is a chain of restaurants, sort of like a roadhouse in Australia. You know those BP fuel stops? That's the closest I can compare them with, but they are very good. They have a lot of different hot foods in a buffet style/ bain marie heaters. I've had great meals there and they're not too expensive.
    You are posting too fast!
...and we're both Aussies,(I think) and I've lived all over Australia. I'm in the west now. Where are you? When are you going to Finland? I'm going for Christmas this year. Got tickets yesterday.

Default We lived In Western Austraila.

    Hello Peni.
We leave on the 3rd July..so excited have 6 weeks of holidaying around Finland.
We lived in Western Australia for 8 years in the hills Greenmount.
Hubby built a pole home there,it was Western red cedar..fantastic views.
I found Perth too hot in Summer.
It is great to be back in Sydney..my birth place.
We love Sydney, the only thing is so does everyone else!!
We will retire somewhere else,in the meantime we are exploring the world.
I looked at the ABC sites yes the food does look good.
It will be cold when you go to Finland, are you moving over there for good??

    Hello Annika,
July wil be nice. You'll be there for blueberry season. You'll be able to do a lot in 6 weeks, but watch out for the mozzies. I wish we were moving over there for good, but no, only 3 weeks at Christmas time. And yes, it will be cold. I hope there will be heaps of snow.

I've never lived near Greenmount but I know the area. It's very nice. I'm originally from Geraldton and that's way too hot. I can cope with Perth's summer but I don't like the heat. We're in Mandurah at the moment and it's not too bad, but we still get some hot days in summer.

I'm not a huge fan of Sydney. It's just sooo big!!!!!! We were there for a holiday last month. I lived in northern NSW for 10 years and that was beautiful. There are some really nice spots all over NSW.

So what's your link with Finland? Annika is a popular name in Finland. That's my sister in laws name.

    Default Hello

    Hello Peni.
Yes I know all about the mozzies..taking heaps of stuff to keep them away,I get bitten really bad by them.

My connection to Finland,is by marriage I married a Finn from Helsinki
No trouble with the language he can do all the talking for a change.
I tried to learn some Finnish..not easy & I was saying it the wrong way..so I gave up learning.

I agree Sydney is getting too busy, luckily we live near National Parks..so quiet & the air is good..
Only thing is we can get to the city in 40 minutes by train..lots to do in the city,we go there now & again.

Geraldton is hot from what I remember, Mandurah is a better temp & also very popular.
    We have holidayed there.

Oh well things to do..have started paractising my packing.
    Have a nice day.
