The Finnish population grew by 14,800 people between January and July. An influx of foreigners has helped accelerate population growth.
At the end of July 5,315,280 people lived in Finland, according to preliminary information released by Statistics Finland. In the January to July period the population grew by 14,800 people. By the end of July 15,150 persons moved to Finland from abroad, whereas only 6,550 moved away. Births are also on the rise. Between January and July 35,200 children were born, which is 650 more than during the same period last year. mmmm thats one advatage for the foriegners

I saw the report on the TV last night . I think its so expected cause most of the foriegner here are mad about blond girls
,so Suomi is like the heaven for them .and I think Finland is pretty good country to begin a family and thats what most of ppl begin to do cause the massive support from the government if any woman is pregnant or any family had a baby. |

but I think Finland is different beleive me here according to the statistics that Finland need more ppl ,thats why if check the family support system you will see lots of massive support that u cannnot immagin , do u know that if a woman know that she is pregnant and she is in work her boss cant stop her contract and she can stay at home and her salary and if she is trying to find a flat the govornment will find her one and there will be lots of health support for her and the family ,just because she is pregnant |

are you gonna get yourself pregnant even thought it's kind of illegal from them to ask that... If they asks that, the usual way to get out of that is to say something like "I have a dog to whom unload tenderness" xD But seriosly that makes the woman harder to get the job. |

The reasons iv moved over to finland are.
1. I have always been in love with the country since i was little, so its my dream come true. 2. I much prefere finland over UK, the climate, the politics, the people and the culture. 3. Its a much safer country to build a family with, theres not much chance of getting stabbed on every street corner unlike UK. 4. To help build my hockey career and to improve myself as a player and also a coach. |

its true that finland is a really nice country.
politics are quite fair, the culture is awesome, people are respectful, its safe (way safer than montreal, at least!) the education system is the best in the world, and well there are many other reasons i want to move there. most of my real friends are from finland, or living in finland. when I went there in summer, it was like heaven. I just felt like i fitted in, for once. that I was home. I didnt miss my parents or my cats, I didnt miss my "friends". of course sometimes I would wonder what they are up to. but I was really happy there. my finnish host family were actually quite surprised that I just did fit in like a glove in the finnish societey/culture. they often made jokes about it, or would be really proud and kept calling me Laura Viita, speaking in finnish with me and their friends, their friends would just be so amazed by the fact I wasnt finnish, but canadian, and would speak finnish (sometimes they didnt speak english) with them. |
