I remember some weeks ago I was at a metal party ...one of my best friends got drunk & he really didnt realize anything just walking around, doing headbang & singing "Y'all want a single"...
we just could "laugh" at him

It is a problem and not just in Finland like already stated before. I also like to go out drinking with my friends but I always try to know my limits and keep them. Unfortunately every time I go out I see people who are just so bloody drunk that they are sleeping on the street, puking somewhere, yelling stupid things etc.

I wounder how high alcohol level you can have to drive car in Finland.

Example: In Sweden we have 0.2‰ for "the low punishment" and 1.0‰ or above for "higher punishment"

I know a guy that had 0.3‰ and he lost his drivers lisence for 6months and got a ticket for ~7000 Swedish kronor.

Im really sorry for my english and im hoping that you will understand anyway.

im typing the same thing in Swedish if som finns can read it.

Det jag undrar är vad gränsen på rattfylleri är i Finland.
I Sverige är den 0.2‰ för "mild" och 1.0‰ för "grov"

God thing about the cold is, you can keep your beer/ vodka etc outside in the snow and not in fridge. And it keeps alot more ice cold outside aswell

Re: Alcohol and Finland

Finns can will drink a lot when given the chance. My Finnish friends here in Toronto can really drink when they want to.
I can only stick to beer and wine now. I can't drink vodka that much anymore.

Any country that has a problem with alcohol does have it's fair share of problems. Public drunkness, sleeping wherever they fall down, fighting, impaired driving, etc.
