Oh yeah, that'd be great. But.....at this stage we are hoping to be in Finland for this Christmas. Tell you what though, we'll be keeping in touch and if we don't get there this year you'll be more than welcome to come over.

Thank you for the recipe Peni! I will try it after I finish with the exams
I've recently made laskiaispulla, but with no cream, they turned out great! I just love that dough.

I'm glad to hear that! Here is the recipe for laskiaispulla (shrove buns, I think):

Ingredients:
3dl milk
25g yeast
1 ts salt
1 ts cardamom
1dl sugar
7dl flour
1 egg
100g butter

Mix the yeast with the warm milk, then add the salt, cardamom, sugar and egg.
Add half of the quantity of flour and mix well. Then add the remaining flour and the butter; mix. Cover the dough and leave it until it grows twice its size (about an hour or more).
Turn the dough into a roll and make balls, pulla-shaped. Leave them to rise some more.
Bake at 200C for 15 minutes.

I just love these, it's very important to leave the dough rise, and at first I didn't have the patience...

Looking at some of these recipes are making my mouth water..
Whats a dl for measurement? never really heard of it... lol.
Oh and finlandia vodka here in Calgary is roughly 18-20 canadian dollars..11.15-12.39 Euro for 26oz (750 mL, 3/4 of a L).
If you want better vodka (in my opinion) Skyy and Grey Goose are fantastic.. though I'm more of a Rye Whiskey fan myself (Crown Royal, and Gibsons)

dl = deziliter, which means a tenth of a liter,
this measurement may also help you in drinking whisky and wodka ,=))
