I have Star Wreck In the Pirkinning and Talvisota which are both very good Finnish movies.
Star Wreck is very funny and has a witty humour about it.
Talvisota is about the Winter War and is very dramatic and very real.
Hope this helps.

thanks a lot for all the suggestions!Hopefully I can find some of those movies around here or at the finnish church. they have couple of movies and books that you can borrow. :]
I'd recommend "Jadesoturi"
There's mixed Chinese Kung Fu and Kalevala XD
These are very good:
pahat pohjat
Aidesta Parhain
Lupaus
Matti
paha maa
Sibelius
Jadesoturi
Star Wreck In the Pirkinning
Man Without a Past
Täällä Pohjantahden alla (is an interesting view on the early days of independence and civil war experiences; Unfortunately no subtitles)
War movies:
Tuntematon Sotilas (new and old)
Rukajarven tie
Etulinjan edessa
Talvisota
There are alot of Aki Kaurismaki movies out there, but some are a little weird/morbid, like for example "the match factory girl".
thank you so much for all your suggestions!
I really appreciate it! now I will try to find some around here or at the local finnish community. :]
hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of spring!
Raid (action, comedy, drama) (this one of my list you would most likely be able to purchase outside of Finland)
Suolaista ja makeaa (drama, comedy)
Joulubileet (comedy, weird)
Eila (drama)
Old movies:
Komisario Palmun erehdys
Kulkurin valssi
Valkoinen peura
Tv-series:
Tahdon asia (drama, comedy)
Kummeli (comedy)
Paristo (comedy)
