:P yeah, Lapland must be really dark in winter (well maybe not, if there is a lot of snow). at what time does the sun rises and sets?

Right now here it rises about 9am and sets again at 3pm, however pretty much soon we will be going into our 50days or no sunlight.

And yep the snow is falling rather nicely now

it was snowing a bit in the last few days, and soon the depressionary system will be over the area, so lot of snow to come :P

50 days with no sunlight must be quite something, but with the snow, it absorb light so it should not be too dark either. and well remember that in summer there is about 70 days of sunlight :P

Yeh it isnt really that so bad, the snow does help out alot in the dark as it is notacible against the darkness of trees, signs and animals. But most people i know also have rally lights on the front of their cars. And the nights are wonderful, specially with the northern lights.

Yep 70days of light, when i moved here for good it was while we had this and it was really hard for me to adjust to begin with.
