Thread: Hey, does anyone know where to adopt an animal for free in Helsinki/Espoo/Vantaa?

Hi everyone

Well I'm getting a little lonely here and am missing my pets back home so I was wondering if anyone knew where I can adopt a guinea pig (marsu) for free or like free with a donation or basically just cheap

Would appreciate any responses

Faunatar is a pet shop chain ...maybe you try it there?

yeah i have been there before but was looking for a cheaper alternative

I think you ld try with some magazine ,there is some ppl try to give away there pets for free to a responsible person , my friend found one after reading this church magazine (Kirkko & Kaupunki) ,but they ask him if he beleive in God and the dont smoke .

If you read the papers or check out notice boards in supermarkets, also ask your local vet. We got 2 kittens from a local farm through our vet who knew a lady who knew someone.....ya know the way that can happen.

You could always put up a notice yourself in supermarkets and see if anybody responds ?

Most lost & found pets from Helsinki/Espoo/Vantaa are taken to the Animal Clinic of the Helsinki University:

tel. 050-383 5448 (weekdays 8-21), other times 191 49600

Some of my friends have found themselves a pet there cause nowbody have come to claim them. It's worth calling.
