Tax free? Do you mean tax free for everyone? if not then us EU citizens must pay the same as a Finn anyway

Cute animal Tshirts, you mean the ones with Lordi on them?
Heh, I'm not sure actually to who it's tax-free, I only know it's one of those tax-free shops xD But I'll try to find out

Haha, I think I have to suggest them that they'll start to sell Lordi T-shirts too, you know they fit so well to the window with the icebears and reindeer.. XD

Kylie, the best place to shop really is Itäkeskus. You have everything under one roof, even if it is crowded. It's easy to get to and you can do all your shopping indoors. They have pretty much every store you need. If you're not big on shopping centers like that, then I'd recommend downtown Helsinki. Maybe visit Stockmann and Anttila, stop by Forum.

I don't know too much about the development in Espoo in the last 10 years, but Tapiola has a nice shopping center as well. You can find all kinds of things there as well.

As for what to buy people for presents...? I'm the wrong person to answer that. I'm really not going to buy anyone presents this year as I don't have the money. I've bought stuff for my niece and nephew and two of my friends' babies. I got something little for my mom and sister and I bought my dog a coverall for the wet weather. That's going to be my Christmas shopping for this year. I think it's enough of a present that I'm actually here. LOL

    Default Tax free

I suspect the tax free element is only for non EU visitors such as Russians or Norwegians....

I'm slowly getting adjusted. I need to decide what I'm going to do and try to find work for the meantime. I need to get to the magistrate to register as a resident in Helsinki and go from there. Just trying to still work on the dog getting adjusted here so I can leave him alone at home and get my stuff going. We'll see how things work out. It's not set in stone yet I'll stay in Finland permanently.
