Well i donno if this is the right place to ask this.But i have one problem.im on student visa in finland.I came to finland as a student I want my girl friend to move in to finland with me.we r together for more than 3 years.I am from pakistan and she is russian living in st.petersburg.Well now we are gona be married in Helsinki maistrati.And then she can apply for a residence permit.So if someone have done this.Just need some assistence.so we will not make a mistake.well in Raahe(city where im living) me and my girl friend went to the Polis visa section they told us that she can marry me in finland and we can apply our case in finland. and yesterday i was at the same office and now they said no she can not apply here in raahe she must apply from her own country.which totally messed up our plan. i can not bleieve why they gave me wrong info. and infact i have asked them two times.once 5 months ago and then one month after.and now i went they told me totally different story.and also they have different rules for marriage in helisnki and Raahe. In raahe i have to show a proof that i am not married and girl friend also.In Helsinki they said we dont need any proof from u as u r registered as single in our social security data base but yer girl friend needs letter from russian embassy.this is all so confusing.

yeah its so true.i have noticed that also,,everytime its a new answer.well i went there again on friday and now the director said also that she must apply from russia.so its quite clear now.but thanx for the replies )
