Do you think Finland has the best educational system? Why do you think is it or is it not like this?

Re: Does Finland has the best educational system?

The educational system in Finland is FREE what more could you ask for. All the people I know have done very well in the educational system. As for the younger children my 8 year old started school in August 2009, before she went to school her reading and writing was not 100% but in the first few months of school she was doing so well. She is now speaking Swedish to me and her maths is going really well. I think it depends on how much work the mums and dads are willing to put in, you can not just send them to school and think the teacher should do it all.

Finland wins the PISA awards every year.

These awards are awarded for the Secondary Education.

University education is somewhat different, the best universities are in the United States.

I dont understand you!

Students are not thought about freedom of speech seeeing as its common place, they are however encouraged to ask questions, read widely and then make up their own minds.

That is not just in Finland but all over the western world. Thats what I love about university. i am studying for my Masters at the moment.
