Living without a permit?

Do you know what can be a penalty for overstaying a student permit a few weeks or months?

I cannot renew my current permit, because I do not have enough study credits. And so far I have not managed to find a job or a new study programme "leading to a degree or vocational qualifiation", as required by Migri.

Any ideas for getting a new permit or extending the stay will be most appreciated.

P.S. I am a Canadian citizen and do not need a visa.

I have heared that there are possibilities in the northeast to pick strawberries, otherwise you may try some Pizza or Kebab restaurants..they are run by Turkish people and they are usually quite open minded

If you dont have a visa then it might be that you are not allowed to travel any more into a country if they catch you (at least in other countries it is like this...would not recommend it).

As far as I know, work in a restaurant is not on a list of jobs for which a work permit may be granted (though such list officially does not exist).

It shoud be a job, for which there is a shortage of the European pool of workers. Agricultural work is a possibility, though.

I need a residence permit, not a visa.

BTW, I do not want to live in Canada. Europe is much more interesting.
