Hi :D

Hi! My name is Ines.

Actually I'm not in Finland at the moment, but I'm planning to go to study.
Just I wondered, Are there any Korean? and How do finnishes think about Korea?

Some of my friends are now in UK, and they told me, most of European think Korea is still in the mid of war.

Do you think Is it good to be there as a Korean?

Re: Hi :D

My knowledge about Korea and my experience with korean people is actually pretty limited.
I only met once one korean girl, she was a friend's roommate.
She was actually cool, since she had the habit of sleep on the floor or something and didn't need her bed, so she lend it to us.
Apart from that, the only time my friend first introduced me to her, I didn't know she was korean or anything about their culture, and I give her one or two kisses in the face, and then I realize she was totally in shock with that, I guess I should only shook hands in this situations (although in Portugal is the usual way of meet women).

I dont think Europeans think about Korea much, well apart from the nutty "Dear Leader" up North!

Korea makes cars and when I was a kid lots of toys, also the war in the 50's thats what most of us know about.

Actually I haven't been to Turkey though, Koreans love Turkey
We believe there's something between Turkey and Koran during the war.
but, I have no idea what it is
and I believe Turkish must be white right?

I totally agree with you.

Some of them just have no clue where Korea is.
then I usally use this explaination "between China and Japan"
and most of all just DO NOT KNOW at all.

There are lots of Chinese, Vietnamese students in Finland. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese all look alike

I don't think I can tell the difference even though China is our neighbours
