Hi there, I'm not Finnish but I have been learning this wonderful language since last autumn. I'm intending to go to Finland as well. I still need some more time because of some "internal affairs" over here...

I hope there aren't so many mistakes ....

Nähdään, Astrid

When I speak of 'working' in Finland, that's my long-term goal, really. I'm looking to someday qualify as an asianajaja over there, because my 'major' is law - but of course subjects like law are entirely country dependant.
Hei!

suomen kieli lakikirjoissa on kirjoitettu täysin omalla tavallaan
vaikeita jopa natiiveille suomalaisille.

Same in English:

Hi! Come to speak Finnish with me and Astrid to the "Real beginner Finnish dialogue" forum (or if someone wants to make a new forum?)...

O_o did you mean that you would want to work here as a lawyer?
In that case I must probably warn you that our law system is extremely complicated and plus that, the Finnish in the lawbooks is writed totally on it's own way and it's so complicated that some of the statutes are very hard even to the native Finns.
Here's probably one of the most simple examples from our school's Finnish book:

It says that after upper secondary school is keeped matriculation examination.
But i don't know how good you're in Finnish, so maybe that ain't so hard to you as I think? Let's talk in the forum in Finnish that I'll find out?^^

See you!

Aurora
