Hi Snow, Yes i have been to Helsinki 13 times in the past 2 years, i have fallen in love with the place completely.
Ive also been to Turku, Oulu, Jyväskylä and Seinäjoki, But Helsinki is my favourite place

I'd be happy to be poked for a conversation about Finland. I can't say I've been there yet, although that'll change in just over a week when I'm due to fly over to Tampere. Have you learnt much of the language during your trips? And I have to agree, all the best things come from Finland, including some great music.

Welcome! You might as well move to Finland, would be cheaper. You'll have plenty or resources here to learn more about the country, culture and the language. Feel free to ask us anything and I'm sure there will be someone who can answer your question.

hmm well I have been to couple of places. One bar was called Röpperi (or was it Röppäri)? it was nice, the place was quite cosy (sp?) and well its a nice place to sit with friends, have a drink and talk. the music is rather loud though, but its nice.
I went to Heavy Corner (heavy metal karaoke bar). sometimes it can be fun, sometimes not. One night, it happened that there was a lot of talent in the bar, and you meet nice people too. but another time, the atmosphere was so dead and boring, that my friends and I decided to give it a try at the Dark Side (they have cookies! haha kidding).
Dark Side was... not so special. they don't have much choices on their music list, the place is a bit weirdly done. it looks like a cafeteria with long tables and vintage looking chairs. not really what I call a nice place. it was pretty much empty. they asked for 20 or 21, I was 18, and the place was so emprty that they let us go in.
The lost and Found seemed like a nice place, but unfortunately I was too young to enter (24). it's a gay bar though (I didnt knew until afterwards), but I don't think it's the kind of place where you will see lots of drunk people destroying around them :P
ahaa, and on the rocks (its 24 and over too, but I somewhat got in), it was pretty okay. right next to rautatieasema so you dont get lost to go back home by bus
