Thread: any good finnish movies to watch?

with my host amily, we watched the movie Tulitikkutehtaan tyttö by aki kaurismäki, when we were at our cottage, in Karjalohja. I think it was a funny movie, well, I have a dark sens of humour and can be quite sarcastic, so I enjoyed it. <:

The match factory girl, wow, I found it extremely depressing, that was the first finnish movie I saw and I nearly gave up on the finnish movie industry.... glad I didnt though!

haha true, finnish movies are often depressing or contains a lot of black humor... but I guess I would be the kind of person that enjoy black humor, or that is a lot ironic/sarcastic about things. not in a mean way, but I am mostly sarcastic/ironic about myself. I feel bad when people think I'm making fun of them, that really isnt the point of it :S

im using Direct Links to Download Foreign Movies, Flim Festival, awarded, Oscar, Arthouse, Independent for download them,you can use this site to download other movies from other countries

yep martti that site has subtitles,most finnish movies have hardcoded english subtitles
