Default Should immigrants & assylum seekers be screened for diseases in Finland?

Should immigrants from outside the EU and assylum seekers be screened for communicable diseases such as HIV and TB ? Should their children be screened before they are sent to schools in Finland in case they pass on TB to Finnish children ?

Russia (right nest door folks), India, Africa amongst others are witnessing a surge in TB, often linked to HIV. Should assylum seekers be screened for these infectious diseases before being released into society ?

In many countries, you have to take a HIV test before being granted a work permit.

I believe that for the sake of our health, people should be checked for any deseases which they could potentially bring into the country. And not only the common ones, but also ones that maybe are new and we dont know about yet.
Such as swine flu, if we prevented people from coming in with it then we should be safe from it right?
So i agree why not do it for everything
