Default summer vacation in finland with 16 teenager

    Terve!
I hope you can help me. I'm a student from Germany and I am organizing a kanoeing trip with a friend of mine for about 16 teenagers to Finland.
We'll be in Finland for two weeks, one week we are going kanoeing and the other week we planned to visit some sites.
We'll stay in Suomenniemi in a Camp. Camp Suomijärvi
I hope you can tell me some interesting sites to visit. Especially I'm looking for some water parks or leisure parks around this region. We'll be there by car and can reach nearly everything :-) I would be glad about every information I could get.
    Kiitos!
    Näkemin
    Anna-Lena

    Hi Anna-Lena!

Here's a piece of information I found with Google... direct quote from site:
    finland travel guide - visit2europe.com

    Suomenniemi
Suomenniemi is a municipality of starkly impressive pine forests and blue lakes bordering on the provinces of South Karelia and South Savo, 220 km from Helsinki. The peaceful countryside, crystal-clear waters and beautiful scenary are the perfect setting for a holiday to remember.
Visitors are always welcome at Suomenniemi, which offers a good range of services and things to do. With lakes on all sides, it has 632 km of shoreline, 77 km² of water and attractive housing land in profusion. In the heart of the region is Kuolimojärvi, a clear lake 40 km long that is rich in fish. Suomenniemi is a paradise for hikers, nature-lovers and hunters alike. And what is more, anyone is free to pick the berries and mushrooms growing in the forests. A permit is, however, required to hunt the elk and other game roaming the forests, but visitors can join one of the hunting safaris arranged in the wilds.
There are plenty of things to see in Suomenniemi, such as the Louhtovuori rock paintings some 5000 years old, the Lyytikkälä House Museum, Hujala Mill and the Karkaus channel. The wooden church in the centre of Suomenniemi dates from 1866 and the shingle-roofed bell tower from 1777.

I'd say Suomenniemi is mainly for "the outdoor lovers". If you want some "real" sights to visit, you need to drive around but that shouldn't be a problem for you cause you wrote you'll be there with a car.

Anywayz... I hope you'll have a nice time no matter what you decide to do!
