I think we couldn't categorise a whole countries' population as 'un/trustworthy'... I mean, I've seen people from the United States being rude, throwing litter in the streets etc... but I've met a lot of nice people. A couple of years ago, a Finnish tourist broke a Moai's ear in Easter Island to take it home as a souvenir. I do know Finnish people aren't all like that. A Czech tourist set a forest alight in the south in a national park, but again all Czechs aren't like that.

My point is, I couldn't say that the Turkish are untrustworthy because 10 defenseless women were sexually attacked by a bunch of arseh*les, because not everyone in Turkey does that.

And when I said that the US is an untrusworthy country, I meant that because of what its government has done down the years, because hell yes they've messed around overseas (My own country being included in that lot).

Mmm indeed. It's obvious the Americas aren't scrutinised against but that's because they have political power like Myrica said.

We might not be able to categorise what places are or are not untrustworthy or so but that wont stop other countries or the world at large doing it. Especially when everyone is scared they're going to come under fire.

It's unfortunate but there is nothing that can be done about it. Rumours, true or false, will continue to feed racism and prejudices. As a result certain countries will probably always be hated and be deemed untrustworthy.

If you want that to change you'd have to ask the entire country to. Obviously that isn't possible.
