I never liked those KISS type metal stuff though I am a Rock fan and Indian classical songs. I first came to know of Lordi, then Nighwish....

I like a couple of songs of Nighwish-Sleeping Sun and Phantom of the Opera

I'm not sure who the first Finnish band I heard was, because it was at least 10 years ago and my memory isn't that good It was possibly Nightwish playing Sleeping sun. The first band I really got into though and still love is Sentenced. There are many more I love too. I am always looking out for more and have recently discovered Tracedawn. They are brilliant and if you haven't heard them yet, do your self a favour.

Maybe something like Darude? He's Finnish, right? haha but that's not rock or metal..sorry! haha
Then it would be by The Rasmus (the huge In the shadows hit came to my ears too!) but I really started to ''fell in love with Finland'' because of H.I.M., I've always thought they are the best band on Earth-ever ! (but lets just forget Venus Doom who's just...not that good!)
Anyway, from there I started to listen to loooooooots and looooots of Finnish bands!

The Rasmus (when I was in primary school, haha!), Him... but I got really interested in Finnish music after hearing Ensiferum After came Norther, Korpiklaani, Teräsbetoni, Children Of Bodom, Apocalyptica, Uniklubi...

the first finnish band I heard was sentenced and the song was nepenthe, I think it was in 1995...I just realized how old I am

Anyway it was the beginning of magic!
