I'm not a very big Nightwish fan, but I think they've a couple of really good songs... I'm really happy that their Australia-consert went well! Thanks for the news!
They just won a few Emma-awards from Finland's Emma-gala and I transleted their interview which was made that time... It isn't maybe very good English, but if somebody still wants to read it, here's the link:

hmmm...u know?i think Tarja's Voice was much stronger than Anette but Anette s voice is good to0 !
& about Marco...I think hes voice is made for singing metal songs!wish he sang more !

FYI Nightwish IS metal! lol. I could debate that HIM isn't.. but NW definately is. Its been stated that they are Symphonic metal, and that statement is true. A little confirmation for you..
Not alot of Finnish bands come to Canada, let alone Calgary, so its a rare occurence here too. But late last year, HIM stopped by for their first time in Calgary, and had a sold out show (despite a disappointing opening band, Bleeding Through). Then, in February, Sonata Arctica had a sold out show as well, and they were bloody amazing! (Opening bands were Sanctity from Detroit I think, and a local calgary band called Nebudcadnezzer.. check them out!) And in may, Nightwish finally rolls through. I don't know what they were doing for other countries, but they offered VIP tickets here to meet the band beforehand. So we snagged a few for their Vancouver show (Calgary's was sold out already), and we're getting ready to make the 12 hour drive soon to see them! Also, I'm super excited that I might be heading to Ruisrock in Turku to see Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, and HIM all over again! And more bands too.. (Apocalyptica, 69 Eyes, Interpol, The Cult, Bullet For My Valentine.. ect)
And I will defend to the death that Anette is better than Tarja, for many reasons lol.

Mm.. I have been listening to this band for 3 years already and I still think that Tarja's voice was better than Anette's.

ye juulia you're right tarja's voice is far better than anette.Because Tarja's voice is more suitable for Symphonic metal,that's what they did before.
Now they're turning to hard rock it seems

unfortunatly yeah...so they are letting Therion (swedish symphonic metal band) to become number one in symphonic metal ranking ...but therion is good 2 i love their Black Sun song =)
