I listen to all kinds of music, but mostly cuban and classical at the moment.

In work I listen to alot of Grieg, Prokofiev, but my favourite composer is Sibelius. Symphony no.6, 1st movement is fantastic, but there are so many nice pieces; "pohjolas daughter" op49 springs to mind too, it reminds me of some of the newer starwars soundtracks.

I'd like to listen to some more of Levi Madetojas works, his piece from the "man without a past" soundtrack is very nice too.

"Finlandia" by Sibelius, as well as his violin concerto which is just unforgettable.

Regarding metal, if there was one band to remain (well ok they don't exist anymore, at least not under this name), that'd be ...and Oceans, with their so great capability of creating unique & original pieces of metal.

And let's not forget about (psychedelic) rock n' roll, ie. Jyrki and Kingston Wall, man they rock(ed)!
Btw, if anybody got news about remaining members and what they eventually done after K.W. ending, please let me know!

Now I'm thinking I can't conclude this post without saying the typical: "...and so many more of them I don't recall at the moment"...

Okay, the title of the thread was what kind of music do you listen to. It seems to me that most of you like Finnish bands and metal band for that matter. I don't really fit in this group at all...

I mainly listen to mainstream music. I like all kinds of stuff really, but I don't like metal or gansta rap. I like alternative rock a lot though. I like bands like Counting Crows, The Goo Goo Dolls, Switchfoot, Keane, Lifehouse, Coldplay, Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, The Killers, Daughtry, etc. I also like a lot of pop artist, but not going to list them here, since you guys don't appreciate them anyway. :P heheehe...

I haven't listened to many new Finnish bands, but Poets of the Fall and Sunrise Avenue sound pretty good. I also like Irina and Jonna.
