What is you favourite Linux distro?

I installed Linux mint to a partition on my PC yesterday, its really good

The newer Linux distributions are alot easier to use. Generally it is the interface that is difference between distributions

I am so fed up with Vista that I decided that my next PC will be Linux. I have been playing around with a few different distributions, and I like Mint the best.

You can download the installer and burn it to a DVD, then you can test it by running it from the disk. It wont change anything on your hard drive at all, so if you dont like it, reboot and remove the disk. Windows is back as usual

Ive played around with MacOs in work, seems easy enough. Linux is free and open source thats why I chose it

my applications are not running on Linux, otherwise I would have tried it Using Windows 7 now... running faster than Windows Vista

Sad news, Linux Mint will not reboot from Grub, well apart from the terminal.

There is a very good Linux ditribution called "parted magic" you can run this from the CD and change partitions as well as some other tools. Its actually quite good

I think that I will delete the partition with Mint and install Ubuntu instead

I think Ubuntu has more Users than Mint

IMO it beats the other two any day, hands down!

I installed Ubuntu yesterday, I am very pleased so far. I have used it previously but karmic Koala is easier to use. There are lots of nice applications for it especially for education.

There are even teo nice vocabulary builders, learning Finnish has never been so convenient
