They should pay. It would be fair for the finns. It's like foreigner are "stealing" their education :P

Yes they should, it dosnt appear fair if we the taxpayer and also the government pays for these people to come here and get free degrees at uni and then bugger off back to their country. Where we will then get no benefit from this.

I think it depends...if those people come from a poor country it could also help to develop their country which would also have a positive impact on Finland or EU.

Yes. I just read from HS that a typical university education costs apprx. 44 000 euros to Finnish society.

In the UK oversea students have to pay around 13.000 Pounds per year

If they come from a poor country then still shouldnt be free however they must pay a small percentage towards the costs of the uni fees.

Education should be free anyway... In Austria for instance Austrians and citizens from the European Union don't have to pay for their university education (any more).. I think it should be the same in whole EU, so also in Finland...

In england you still have to pay fees. And i dont think its very fair tbh to pay for something that we might not get any gain from.
