Default Hockey and Finland

Hei there, ^^

I'm from Canada (Quebec) and here hockey is our religion! I know and like a lot of Finnish hockey players, Teemu Selänne and Saku Koivu must be the most famous ones in Canada. I was just wondering if some of you like hockey too and how this sport is going in Finland, if you follow some of the finns who play in north america...etc. =) I think the finnish hockey players are the greatest!

Hell yeh. I support the espoo blues in SM-Liiga, even though we dont have the same talent, I do love the entertainment and rivalries it gives you.

We're in Australia but my Finnish husband loves Ice Hockey. We don't get many NHL games here on tv, but he watches the ones that do come. We went to Canberra last month to watch a game and there were 3 Finnish guys playing in the Canberra team.

Freerad, where do you watch games online? We listen but I've never seen one.

I've watched the IIHF World Championships at WCSN.com Live Sports Events Online - Schedule for the past 2 years. None of these were carried on the cable here where I live, but of course, we do get the NHL games. I always look for Finns in the games I watch. The subscription for WCSN is $4.95USD/month and you can cancel anytime.

Thanks heaps for that. I'm sure my husband will be very interested next time it's on. I had a look at the site, and all those games that were played are listed there. If I subscribe can I still watch them? I know they're not live, but would still be interesting to watch some of them.
You are posting too fast!

I just went and registered at this site and then the fine print told me that I can't watch any of these games because I live in Australia. How biased is that!!!!

You're most welcome!! Yes, the games and events are available for replay. I don't know for how long, but they are there.

Oh, no...that's not fair!! Did you contact customer service? What is the reason for that?
