One of my citizenships is Russian, but I am not a fan of Russian sportsmen (I support small countries). I think that Russians pay too much attention to their achivements in sports. It gives them a reason to belive that Russia is again a stong, great country. However, very few Russians care about civil freedoms and the accountability of their government, which are real criteria of a country's greatness.
