The season has started!
In a very tough game, Liverpool won to Sunderland by 1:0, goal by our spaniard Fernando Torres.

Then, against M'boro Carragher scored to equalise at 85' and Stevie G rushed a screamer to put a 2:1 advantage over boro.

The team isn't playing good enough, rafa has to improve to be champions

I agree. Sadly, it's the same story if you've been around for the last 18 years supporting one manager after another doing the same thing. The football is really negative and the ball spends most of the game being passed around the back four, even if we're 1-0 behind and it's 90 mins on the clock! We settle for a draw 20 mins from the end. Back in 1995-1996 was the best time with Fowler, McManaman and Redknapp. They knew how to attack and always went for it, even if we lost. I would rather lose some matches and win some in style than get lots of draws. Sometimes I think we're just trying to bore the opposition into sleeping so we can steal a goal in the last minute. To be fair, though, it is working this season. If we win the league like this we'll have nothing to be proud of. It'll be like the 2005 Champs League. Only Liverpool fans really think it was great - everybody else just thinks we were lucky - and they're right, too, sadly

On a different note, went to se HJK play Inter Turku at the Finnair on Monday. Standard of football is pretty shocking (around English Division 2: our 4th level) but great match in the end, 3-2 with the winner in the 92nd minute. Will definitely be going again. If anyone's there I'll be the one shouting, not sitting quietly watching

It's very sad, because since the lates 60s Liverpool have been an attacking team, but since golden 80s and the middle 90s the team has become in such a defensive one. Fernando Torres is the first striker who scores more than 20 goals since Michael Owen I guess. And Owen left in 2004 :S

Anyway, I trust, I believe in this team. We can be champions, we can win the sixth one

Yep, any hope of competing will be squashed with the traditional defet to United. NO, must be positive. It doesn't matter that we still can't score goals and now no Torres - oh dear! Riera's here and Finnan's gone too. NOt sure what difference it'll make. Rafa will still probably make Riera sit on the bench most of the time and play Carragher as a lone striker with Gerrard in goal.
