I have worked in Nigeria. Having been there several times, I fully understand why Nigerians will say / do anything neccessary to get out of it and into Europe.
In comparison, the EU countries with relative stabillity, reasonably good governments, general adherence to law and order, widespread respect for human rights, ethical business and banking practices and little corruption must seem like paradise. It is unfortunate when visa's are given to people be it for business / holidays / study and the system is abused. The EU in general is clamping down on all sorts of scams and illegal movements of immigrants. The only way to get in and hope to stay in Finland as a non EU citizen is to have obtained the correct paperwork etc through the legal channels. |
