Default Good luck!

Did you read the pages before applying?
It's all in here: Degree Programme in International Business, Pasila — HAAGAHELIA

Quote (sorry folks for the long quote) from that page about the entrance exam:
" In the examination, the applicants' logical and mathematical thinking and the knowledge of English will be tested. A group interview will be part of the entrance examination. The ability to communicate fluently in English is a prerequisite for admission. Therefore, applicants must pass this part of the examination to be selected for admission. Earlier entrance exams are not available for viewing.

I think somebody asked about these entrance exams even earlier this year and i posted back that you don't need to be worried.... a friend of a friend who is not that bright got in and that really tells something about how difficult these exams are

Read the material you are given links to and be prepared to write an essay + participate in a discussion group. The maths test are most probably multiple choice questions.
The level of Finnish maths.... I don't think they expect the applicants to be nuclear physicists but that might help
There are international competitions in mathmatics yearly for school students (teenagers) and Finns have many times won these so that might tell you about the level of our school systems

hmm I was wondering how was the english in Universities? I mean, is the level of english really advanced, or will you manage fine with a "normal" dialect.
well, I mean do you have to know a lot of really old and fancy words that make you sounds like a philosopher that no one can understand because the words are too complicated, or can you manage with the words we use in everyday life?
(english is my second language. I am not a perfect bilingual, but I am probably in the small amount of canadians that could be considered as bilingual)

well...thank you guyz for your kind replies...that really relaxed me a lot..thank you very much.

actually i am tensed for some reasons. cz haag-helia told that i have to come to finland for the entrance exam. this exam is not arrnaged in any other coutries. so you see it's very risky for me to come to finland. cz after exam i have to return to my country and wait for the result. if i am seleted then i have to again get visa and again come to finland. this process is very expensive. so i was not very sure about my chances in the exam. if i come to finland for the exam..it is a must for me to get selected. i am not that bad student. i scored a gpa of 5 on the scale of 5 in my higher seconday exam. my ielts score is 7. so i really do hope that i can maintain my good rate in the exam too.

anyways. guyzz...i am now concentrating on the article links they provided me. and the math parts... haha..no idea yet. i think i better check out some alzebra...what say?

thanks again man

I can assure you that you will have no difficulties whatsoever with your English skills at the Finnish universities!

ok! thank you! I wasn't too worried about it, but yeah, when I was talking about it with my parents, my dad is always trying to be "realistic" and point out problems. he said something like I couldn't speak english... but yeah, when he writes emails to our american friends I am always correcting his mistakes and I don't have much of an accent and don't take 3292703967 hours to say something. he also said I didn't read much in english. I think 75% of the reading I do is in english :P I was a bit mad when he said all that. so I decided to ask from finn how english was in finnish universities.
