Thread: What kind of part time job can I find in Finland?

To find a job, depends on which city you are going....Helsinki there are many opportunities of Hand job but on the other cities it's not that much because they rather small...

Also depends on the season....

I read from news that living cost in Helsinki is very high, I might would choose some other place to stay...

That's true. Helsinki (Finland) is expensive place. Without jobs, students have faced a dire situation here. I have read an article regarding this.

Now where you stay depends on where your school is. Competition in Helsinki area schools is very high. But don't lose hope and bring enough money to support yourself because you may not/will not find jobs right away!!

Yep. Students must first decide which subject and which college rather than which city. But what to do, lack of financial support force them to move to city, thereby having to compromise on their studies

Can't think of any other better place than HOAS if you are looking for less expensive accommodation.

No idea on jobs availability!

Thanks for the advice... Now it's confirmed that I'm going to Central Ostrobothnia University of Applied Sciences in Kokkola city, so what kind of part time job will I find out there? And what is monthly spend there? 400 Euro is enough? How to find part time job? Should I hold my CV in file bag, keep going from one office to another?

Ha ha .. it's funny how you have imagined your life would be esp. the job hunting one going from one office to another with a suitcase packed with your certificates and CV copies

There are a lots of Chinese students in Kokkola, Vaasa polytechnics. Perhaps, they can guide you more on jobs and accommodations etc. I think 400 euros is more than enough for one month provided that you live only on basics.
