Here they live on social security money, begging, stealing, selling drugs etc.
If they work, women work in the cleaning section.Sometimes men work in construction.
Almost never something more qualified which needs secondary/higher education.
In fact most of them don't have even basic education (which is 8th grade here).

It is surprising that employers would admit they would not hire somebody based on their race / ethnicity, in this case Roma. Especially in response to a government survey. That would seem to actually incriminate the 12 % of employers who took part in the survey in the eyes of the state as being racist.

Finland being part of the EU would be aware of the EU Council Directive 2000/43/EC of 29 June 2000 implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin ("the Race Directive").

This was part of a series of directives that made it an offence to discriminate on the basis of such things as gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, race / ethnicity and I believe also a person's age.

It's sad, but in a certain way I understand employers, 'cause if a lot of people from some country is stealing, you just start to believe that everyone is the same...

I know 'cause a lot of chilean people (from my country, Chile) is what we call here "international stealer", and they travel stealing in all the EU countries.

Actually in some restaurants you can see posters saying "If you see a chilean stealing, let him, it's their culture"... Sadly this kind of things made that a lot of countries close their doors to every chilean tourist or make them very difficult the entry to their territories...

Of course not all chileans are like that, but if it's the only thing that you see, it's hard to believe that exist something different...
